Anura House is surrounded by the well known wine estates of
Groot Constantia (1 km), Klein Constantia (2km), Uitsig (1km) and
Buitenverwaghting (1km).
Within walking distance (10 mins) is the modern Constantia
Village shopping centre where visitors can enjoy a wide range of supermarkets,
boutique shops as well as an tempting array of coffee shops, delicatessens and
restaurants providing scrumptious meals catering to all tastes - American,
English, Italian, Japanese and Thai.
Anura House is ‘around the corner' from the famous
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, where many a day can be spent enjoying the
peace and tranquility amongst our indigenous fynbos flora, whilst appreciating
the spectacular views of greater Cape Town from the upper reaches of the
gardens. Visitors can enjoy a visit to
one of the Gardens' restaurants for a relaxing lunch or tea to round off their
experience.
For visitors who appreciate the outdoors, the house borders
a number of Greenbelts where leisurely walks can be enjoyed. Alternatively, for the more energetic types,
hiking trails from the lower reaches of Table Mountain
through magnificent indigenous forests are within walking distance (10
minutes).
Another opportunity for exercise is offered by the Virgin
Active Gym (1km).
Anura House is also within close proximity to many of Cape Town's well known beaches on the False Bay coastline,
such as Boulder's
Beach (populated by our delightful Jackass Penguins), Fish Hoek and Muizenberg,
where visitors can enjoy leisurely beach walks. Our coastline also offers the
charming, character filled harbours of Kalk
Bay and Hout Bay.
There is also convenient access to the beaches on the Atlantic seafront such as
Clifton, Llandudno and Camps Bay.
